Nicola
Gunby
Chief Marketing Officer
CLIQ
Nicola Gunby is the Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of CLIQ, one of Europe’s fastest-emerging social networking platforms, built around a simple but ambitious mission: getting people off their phones and back into real-life communities. Since launching in 2023, CLIQ has grown to hundreds of thousands of users and secured a seven-figure investment, all while spending virtually nothing on traditional marketing. Prior to CLIQ, Nicola co-founded AMB Beauty, a pioneering beauty-tech marketplace that became one of the UK's fastest-growing startups before being acquired by Revolution Beauty PLC, where it evolved into MY REV. A passionate advocate for community-led growth, Nicola specialises in building brands through advocacy, partnerships, and authentic human connection rather than paid acquisition. Alongside her work at CLIQ, she is a speaker, advisor, mentor, and co-founder of The Founder Series, a community supporting female founders in London. At CMO Summit London, Nicola will share her perspective on growth, community, and the evolving relationship between brand building and commercial performance in the modern enterprise.

Fireside chat - Who owns growth? Brand, commercial & client experience in the modern enterprise
As organisations pursue growth, a fundamental question often goes unaddressed: who truly owns it? Is growth driven by brand leadership? By commercial strategy? By product and merchandising? Or by client experience? And where should accountability sit when performance, desirability and long-term value must align? In this fireside chat, explore how modern enterprises structure responsibility across brand, commercial and client functions. Drawing on global brand transformations with full P&L accountability, the discussion will examine how creative ambition, product strategy, retail execution and financial discipline intersect - and where tensions typically emerge. Expect a candid, strategic exchange on organisational design, executive ownership and what it really takes to align brand and commercial performance at scale. This session moves beyond measurement to focus on structure, accountability and the leadership decisions that ultimately determine sustainable growth.
